The Silent Sauna is a phone-free, conversation-free session held weekend afternoons. With nothing but the crackle of the stove, it's our most meditative way to use the sauna — pure heat, breath, and stillness.

What to expect
Your session
- A quiet, phone-free session — conversation kept to a minimum
- 50 minutes of wood-fired heat at around 90°C
- Cold plunge pool and warm showers between rounds
- Up to 10 people per session, all sharing the calm
- Changing facilities and free parking on site
Silent Sauna pricing & availability
When does the silent sauna run in Galway?
Silent Sauna sessions at Mad Yolk Farm in Craughwell, Co. Galway run saturday & sunday, 4–5pm. Public sessions are about 50 minutes and cost €14 per person from 12pm to 5pm and €16 per person from 5pm to 9pm.

What sauna experiences do you offer?
We run a rotation of themed sauna experiences alongside our standard public sessions, including a silent sauna, a women's sauna and a men's sauna. Each has its own night and feel.
What is the silent sauna?
The silent sauna is a public session where everyone agrees to stay quiet. No phones, no chat — just the heat, the fire and the cold plunge. It's a calm, meditative way to use the sauna.
What is the women's sauna?
Our women's sauna is a relaxed, women-only session every Thursday evening, 7–8pm. It's a comfortable space to unwind, sweat and take a cold plunge with up to nine other women.
What is the men's sauna?
The men's sauna is a men-only session every Friday evening, 7–8pm. It's a straightforward hour of wood-fired heat and cold plunge to reset for the weekend.
How do I book a sauna experience?
All themed sauna experiences are booked through our website like a normal public session. Pick the experience you want, choose a date, and you're in.
